In our seven years of operation, more than 150 children from various hospitals have been recipients of financial assistance from our group in our effort to break the spread of disease, promote the gospel of health and ease the stress of pain. This is especially among children afflicted with cancer and other dreaded diseases.
We felt the pain of losing children but we rejoiced with the healing of some. Though our deaths have been many, our disappointments and grief were comforted just by the thought that our purpose has been achieved and everything depends on GOD whose wisdom is unquestionable.
What do these 5 children have in common? All these children were diagnosed with leukemia and experienced a halt in their lives. Except for Patricia whose healing has inspired and brought the group together to form K.I.D.S.2, all the others were former beneficiaries of the foundation
Patricia, the daughter of our President and Executive Director was diagnosed as poor prognosis but was declared cured in Dec 2005. She is the great miracle in the couple’s lives, and the great inspiration that brought the K.I.D.S.2 group together.
Eugene is a former beneficiary of K.I.D.S.2 Foundation and has been declared cured in Feb. 2005
Jayvee is also a former beneficiary of K.I.D.S.2 Foundation and another miracle story as Jayvee had 2 relapses and yet has achieved remission and was declared cured in December 2007.He migrated to Canada and his family is now one of our benefactors.
Kiko is a past beneficiary who has been declared in remission, but had another relapse. He suffered for nearly 12 years and his last relapse, has given up the will to live and died in November 2007
Rayvinson was also a beneficiary who underwent chemo at Philippine Children's Medical Center. He died last May 2009.
With the support of our benefactors, these children have been given the
chance to a new life or in the case of Kiko and Rayvinson an extension
of life.
